I am from Scotland and wondering why so many Pakistani, Indians and Bangladeshi people opt to come to Scotland to study at universities here? I am sure the universities here are cheaper, but at the same time the job opportunities are far great in England as population wise.
How much money do they need to prove to the immigration officer to study here what other requirements must he/she show?
Re: Students From Pakistan/India/Bangaladesh
Most Pakistani students I know of whose parents can afford to bankroll a education abroad are really not looking for local jobs once they graduate; in my experience a lot of them are looking to get the degree, come back home to Pakistan, and get involved in the family business/take a high paying job in Pakistan. A lot of young affluent women also go abroad for degrees before getting married, it's kind of a status thing in a way.
I think you need to be able to show enough money to prove that you can pay cash for at least the first two years of the program, and then that you will have enough salary coming in to pay for the rest of the program. Many people may even ask you to show enough money to cover tuition the entire duration of the program.
