i did.. i ran for student president in grade 12 and won and this semester i ran for presidency for the pakistani student association of aud and won again...

good to know...so was the competition any tough? and did u spent a lot on campaigning?

i was student rep for my degree course in uni. No i didn't run a campaign, but in the prayer room i wrote on the board for all the sisters to vote for me and same to my friends i won :) in the end though the job sucked

naah - just didn't have the time for campus politics... although I have great respect for people who get involved. It's a great opportunity to develop leadership skills and build confidence... along with establishing contacts that will probably extend beyond your time at the University.

Unfortunately, with f-t studies and multiple f-t and p-t jobs, I never had the chance for such an undertaking but I would certainly recommend it to others.
