Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

v. well said! a part of the wisdom u talk of is to never use religous examples when they are annoyed/angry… this isn’t very productive… it shud only be done when they are calm.

being friends is the best (if not the only) way! one other way is to always be there for them, even if it means putting our needs second coz they will see how sincere u r towards them inshallah. Also, small presents once in a while goes a long way… everyone feels good knowing that you thought of them

Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

how about simple things like wanting your brother, to not think about you, but get settled himself?

Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

i got what u meant :)

it takes almost every ounce of my energy to practise what i wrote above at times :) ghuddey kabhi kabhi itna ghussa dila te haiN... playing games two days before their final exams :really really angry waala peela aadmi:

Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

pinks, it does take every ounce of your energy. but, as eldest siblings, one needs to simply keep going on, i think.

Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

u think right! sometimes i feel life wouldv'e been so much easier had i ben the youngest :( but Alhumdulillah being the eldest has its advantagous :) :) :)

Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

pinks, i agree. Alhamd-al-Allah, setting a good example for the younger ones is a joy.

Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

haha, oh yeah and that too...

i was thinking of other advantages, but i guess setting a good example is important too :)

Re: Stubborn opposite gender siblings

@ Dushwari:

Sometimes younger ones also set example for elders

There are few cases (ahem ahem) where younger ones should follow the elders (not necessary though) but turns out that elders have to follow the example of young ones, right Dushi? You know what I’m talking about don’t you :clown:
