**A strong earthquake has struck close to the Philippine capital, Manila, but officials say there are no immediate reports of damage. **Residents said that buildings in the city shook after the tremor and employees rushed out of buildings.
The quake, with a magnitude of 6.1, struck in the sea 135km (85 miles) to the southwest of Manila, the US Geological Survey said.
An hour after the quake, officials said there were no reports of damage.
