Can someone please shed some light on the recovery statistics for people that have suffered minor strokes?
I read an article on Internet regarding strokes and they say twenty-five to thirty-three percent of patients recover in a few days to a few weeks but psychosocial and psychological recovery take much longer. It took dad a couple of months to fully recover but he still has some peripheral vision difficulties.
Khayriat?
People can recover completely (Most times.I know somebody who had a stroke- dont think I said this out of the blue). In a matter of weeks to months. It also depends on the severity of the stroke. There is such a minor stroke from which a person can recover in a matter of days.

Apparently I've either experienced a minor stroke or I'm feeling the effects of a viral infeciton of the nerves causing some paralysis. The idiotic ER doctors can't give me a definite answer. Can you believe that they didn't even check my blood for sugar or cholesterol? I'm fuming and the only reason I left there without a fight is because I was too frustrated and too upset with my condition.
I'm chasing my family physician today and if that gets me nowhere then it's off to another hospital with a handfull of notes to make sure they check what needs to be checked.
I can't live like this.
Hopefully you'll get the correct diagnosis for your condition soon Muzna and inshahallah a speedy recovery too.
Muzna,
My grandmother suffered a stroke a few months back. All I have to say is that this is no minor thing. It is an EMERGENCY and make sure that the hospital and doctors take it as such. I urge you to get your sugar tested. Also please keep watch over your blood pressure.
I hope you recover. My granny was okay but her speech became slurred. She is mobile and all and has recovered drastically but obviously not fully.
Please dont take this lightly.
Hey Muzna,
sorry no idea bout strokes, just saw you dropped into to say hello
Roman might think that of as lesbianism but then again Roman is a bit weird in the head.
