I have them on my arms and chest, even forearms…Due to my gym workouts..How do I minimise these or is there nothing that can be done?
Re: Stretch marks
nothing much can be done... Stretch marks are actually caused due to stretching of the dermis( layer of skin below the epidermis which is the outer layer). Since the other layer is transparent they are visible.
If it makes you feel any better, they will remain with you until you die. :p
Skin grafting can be done, but I guess you don't have it as bad as some others..at least yours are caused by muscles and not fat.

Re: Stretch marks
There is a fairly new product on the market called Mederma which reduces any type of scars including stretch marks, approved by the FDA which tested this claim and found it to be true. Its about 25 us dollars for a small tube and has to be used 2-3 times a day for 6 to 8 weeks.

Re: Stretch marks
I know how to possibly avoid stretch marks during pregnancy, but that's about it. Don't scratch tummy with nails no matter what you do, just rub it gently to itch or use lotion. Its cool, my mom has NO stretch marks after 3 kids, neither does my mumani. I hope I dont get stretch marks cuz I always need to itch with nails....umm am I off topic?
Re: Stretch marks
No, you're probably right about nails increasing the severity of stretch marks....but if your skin isnt all too stretchy to begin with you'll get stretch marks no matter what. I've read that a shortage of magnesium and/or potassium can make skinn less elastic (eat bananas). Also with pregnancy, the timing can have a big impact. If you have children very close together, you're more likely to get them. If you give your skin and muscles time in between pregnancies, its less likely that you'll get them.
