Our mornings are MADNESS. Doesn’t matter if get up 1/2 hour before or 2 hours before, it like a amazing race to finish line.
I wonder if there are homes where people read newspapers and relax while the children merrily get ready for schools. The hop to the bus stop and there is no hurry and fussing about (versus saying muffled “go go go” with a sandwich in my mouth with a damp hair and 15 things to carry out the door).
Share your **weekday morning routines **and **what are some thing you can do to make it less stressful **to get kids brushed, changed, fed and out the door in the mornings.
haha my most mornings r same ...all yelling. less stressful days only happens if i prepare lunch, snack night b4. clothes r pressed n hanged night b4. breakfast is either light or already prepared early morning. car is parked in garage n no snow removal is required in morning.
There's nothing i can do....sigh
Our day starts at 5:30....its not even fajar time at that time....so we start with heating water for everyone's shower one by one (yeah, the joys of gas load shedding) after shower it's namaz/Quran time...that too in shifts. since my youngest is 3 i get her ready first n make her sit at the dining table while i constantly switch from getting ready myself to asking other 3 to start breakfast to beg the little one to have 'one more spoon of cereal' to packing bags/lunch etc etc.....Our target is to leave our place at 7:10...n everyday we leave after 7:15 with a promise to leave early next day...n this next day is yet to come. sighs
In fact i think if i start at around 5:15. we might manage but my bedtime is hardly ever before midnight....n when i have a practical next day, i can't hit the sack before 2-3 am.... so getting up earlier is impossible. :(

O.k u seriously need help. i prefer getting ready n setting table b4 i wake up kids. this way u just get them ready and all reach breakfast table same time. some days i slip clothes on my lil one while she still sleeps :)
ummm....well, if i get ready and wake them all up later, they'd miss fajar...mashaAllah 3 of my 4 kids are above 7 years so they pray....n Allah help them, they take AGES once they are in washroom for wuzoo and later for shower. We do pack some stuff, the night before and clean/polish a
shoes, get our uniforms ready etc ....but still it gets too chaotic in mornings....these days we have real thick fog in the morning which makes it an even greater challenge to reach school/college in time.
Mine are not as stressful ... actually Nadia yells about 3 out of 5 week days, I guess out of stress. It could be also because she is in charge of getting her dressed while I am just responsible for packing lunch and getting ready her breakfast. :o I usually enjoy my coffee after dropping Misbah to bus.
since my bros kids moved out, now we are only three people in the house. we are all adults and we all have our own space so we don't run into each other. my bhabhi doesn't work so she is usually downstairs b4 my bro and i get ready and walk downstairs. we all come to the kitchen then. i make tea and set the table and we've our b'fast and have a good conversation. we then go our separate ways. bhabhi goes for shopping hehe
