Strength, Endurance and Power..

Whats the difference…in your opinion?

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

Having strength makes you feel good

Having endurance makes your wife feel really really really good

Having power makes your family feel good

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

I am not talking about sexual endurance or financial power, but in the context of sports. Are these things same, different..if different how different....how would you define each?

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

if i push u while u coming from opposite side, and u dont fall, thats strength, if i kick u in the nuts and u dont fall, thats endurance, if u catch me after these two, thats power..

its that simple :faizy:

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

^ LOL

hmmmmmmm, is this stolen from the Viagra commercial.

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

Thanks for the entertaining jokes.

After a bit of thinking this is my definition.

Power =Maximum strength and speed. The ability to apply a great deal of force in one explosive movement.

Strength = maximum force that can be applied in a single movement against a given resistance.

Endurance= the ability to apply submaximal force over a given period of time.

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

:hmmm: no i dont think so ..

around this time of the day, i come up with some weird stuff

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

Ok lets move on to the second follow on question....what is the best way to develop Strength, Endurance and Power?

....Strength...maybe weight training....Endurance.....running.....Power thats a strange one...

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

'u have to run slow, to run fast' :-) 'nuff said

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

dang! i like that :k:

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

Strength is a physical thing...so weights etc will help that...Endurance is stamina so cardio etc is good...and as for power isnt power an inbuilt thing...power is natural...you dont have to be strong to be powerful...like i know some people who can punch hard but they arent conventionally strong...look at boxers...i know people who arent as strong as other people weights wise but when they play football or rugby they are powerful...
I could be wrong but iv always seen it as as something your born with and something built inside you...you either have it or you dont...

Re: Strength, Endurance and Power..

Hmmmm....Power....Power is Strength and Speed.....its that 30 second burst of energy out of nowhere.....to get power maybe need both weights training plus cardio at the same time...I think I am getting closer.
