Strawberry Cheesecake

Could someone oblige with the above called dessert’s recipe… pweez do me the honors.. n i want a tried n tested recipe…

i guess we will have to do with pineapple, desis in Pak have some obsession with pineapple.. so whats the secret recipe…

I would imagine that you could make a pretty good cheesecake by pressing a layer of crushed digestives and melted butter into the bottom of a baking tin. Then beat some cream cheese with icing sugar and an egg yolk, pour it over the base and bake the whole thing in a bain marie for half an hour. When its cooked and set, then decorate the top with strawberries and drizzle over some strawberry puree.

I haven't written down any quantities as it's just a made up recipe and one that takes some trial and error to perfect. You could try different toppings to vary the basic cheesecake recipe.

I promise to get the recipe to you guys tonight...my hubby has been travelling so I havent had a chance to ask...and its his recipe since I am allergic to pineapples.....so tonight for sure Ill post it...

allright here we go..just before I type it out...let me say this....this recipe is not for those worried about sugar!! haahhaha

Ok Kasim uses a ready made crust, that is ready to bake...if u can get those in the frozen section of ur grocer...coolio...if not then when we were in Pak we got a pie crust recipe off the net and used that....just make sure its not the pie crust that is crushed graham crackers....it should be the flaky type...

Ok the first layer... take a can on crushed pineapple, Kasim uses the smallest size...which is about 8 oz... but if you like more pineapple use the 14 oz size.. He heats the pineapple with 2/3 tbsp of corn starch and 1/2 cup brown sugar.... once that is heated through...he lines the pie pastry bottom and sides with this mixture...

For the filling...

We get that cream cheese that comes in those little packets in the cheese aisle...but basically you need 8-12 ozs of cream cheese. Use as much or as little as u like...depending on how thick or light you like your cheesecake...kasim likes his kinda in the middle so he uses 1 and 1/2 packets... he adds, 1 tsp vanilla essence, pinch of salt, 1 cup white sugar, and 1 egg...

He pours this into the pie pastry..and bakes until set at 375 about 45 mins...

Hope that recipe works out for you...I have never tried this dessert because of my allergy...but I have yet to meet someone who doesnt like it...
