so getting back on the topic, it wud be better if people just stopped passing their own fatwas, and actually studied the following before passing conclusions:
the historical background of the hijaab.
historical background of mecca, preislamic period, also known as the jahilliyah.
the dress code for women in arabia, and for further enlightenment, the dress code of the byzantinian and the sassanian empires.
a thorough study of the arabic words, and their roots.
actually opening the Quran :)
the difference of opinion and what scholars actually conclude on the words used in the Quran.
That's your proof? How does that proove niqaab is mandated or even encouraged in Islam? In fact, how does that even proove that niqaab is even part of Islam?
We are all criticising what he said etc. but why dont you take a look at how so-called Muslim countries would treat a white person if they went to their countries to live there? would they let them wear what they want and do what they want? I dont think so.
to be honest, living in uk, I dont feel any kind of restriction on how I should dress or practice my religion. I feel free to practice my religion as I wish.
I cant say the same for islamic countries....they wouldnt tolerate ANYTHING.

people who are living in UK are part of UK, their primary concern is with their life in Uk and not someone else’s life in the country they or their parents or garndparents came from. I mean if you are a brit .. why is there even an argument that you can not protest what u think is not right in the UK, because your family is originally from Sudan and the whole scene there sucks..
So yeah the so called muslim countries suck at how they work, and that is why I dont live there, but that does not mean that as a muslim I can not sound my displeasure at what I see in my homeland, the homeland my parents immigrated to.

A female wont actually be punished for not wearing the Niqaab Subhanallah :) Why are we so bitter towards the poor women that wear it. Certainly they are much more pious than women who don't wear it and of course they will get more reward for wearing it even if it's not Fard its an extra form of Ibaadah.

Like praying extra nawafil, we don't need to do it but we do it to be better muslims, become more pious and gain extra reward.
Allah SWT actually sent his salaam to Khadijah RA through the Angel Jibrail because she was one of the four perfect women in islam because she had many special and noble attributes but two of her most blessed traits were 'Hayya' and 'Sabr'. Imagine ALLAH swt Himself was so happy with her that he sent his Salaam to her through the Angel Subhanallah:)
We should stick up for the women who wear Niqaab rather than mock them and say that it is a useless thing because they are striving to please ALLAH with their actions and just because we are too weak to do it we should at least praise them for what they are doing as it's so hard to even do a little good in the western society where anything that doesn't conform to society is looked down upon. Your knowledge of Islam is as poor as your knowledge of British society. The wives of the Prophet were special cases, not ordinary women like you. There were many enemies at the time of the Prophet, and his wives needed protecting from these people.

Maybe my knowledge is poor, May ALLAH increase in Ameen. All i’m saying is it isn’t fard but many people are mocking the women who wear it and I was trying to say that we shouldn’t mock. In islam A women doesnt have to cover her face but they do it for extra virtues. They imitate the mothers of the believers, and to perfect your character who better to imitate than them?

Noone is mocking women who wear it. It's just not Fard is the most anyone has said on here. Social exclusion was brought up, but I dont care if some people want to be socially excluded from jobs or not. I'm not interested in anything they do.
PLease do not generalize, you don't know anything about middle east where the highest number of naqaabis reside, you will be surprised to see niqaab ki aaR mein kiya kiya hota hai.
It is saddening to see Muslims passing verdicts without knowledge of the scripture but based on the habits of their people and what they heard from their mommies and clean-shaven Disco-Mullahs.

Allaah knows best but all the scholars of the past believed that the face veil is Islamic, nobody said it was un-Islamic, a minority however said although it is better it is optional, majority maintained it is compulsory except in certain cases. The people started to go astray after our first generations (Nabi :saw: and Sahaabah, Taabey-een, Taabey-Taabeyeen) so cling to their way. Whichever ruling you believe it should be on sincere research, knowledge and conviction instead of on whim and desire because the people who change religion fro whim and desire are doomed.
Remember that besides the Qur’aan we also have the Sunnah (Example) of the Prophet :saw: to follow because the Qur’aan tells us to follow it. If we didn’t follow the Sunnah, we wouldn’t know how to pray because the Qur’aan doesn’t give the method only the order, people would start doing aarti and say it is Salaah.
Well whiteys get treated like gods in Pakistan and the Middle East, there’s certain rules which apply to everyone but they’re even exempt from these because Pakis/Arabs are arselickers (which is wrong).
Muslim lands don’t boast about the freedom to do as you will, Muslim socities openly say that we have rules and regulations which everyone must abide by including dress code but these countries have no such rules, punks, chavs etc. can dress as they please, people can walk around practically nude but Muslims can’t cover.
What I’m saying is they should stop calling Muslim lands oppressive and admit that they themselves restrict freedom of expression in their countries.
First they banned us from condemning what our terrorist goverment is doing to the Muslims around the world, indirect incitement to terror or whatever, we couldn’t criticise those who attack the honour of our Prophet :saw: (because it’s fundamentalist/extremist and everyone has the right to free speech but Muslims), ban on our free speech, now on the way we dress, where are they going to draw the line? Next maybe halal meat will be banned because it’s inhumane but kosher will still be allowed just as the French banned Muslimahs from wearing Hijaab but Sikhs could still keep uncut hair and beard.
They don’t let us be even in our own lands, lol they say they want to liberate us, we don’t need their depressing, shallow and immoral ways, tossers. I swear the more westernisation that I see back home the less content and depressed our society is becoming, I can’t talk for all of Pakistan but I can for my people.
