AlFaris in his original post suggested a pak foriegn policy of disengagement from kashmir and concentrating on the other often neglected aspects of pakistani foreign policy.Any improving of relations with arabia,Iran, afghanistan and bangladesh do not threaten India directly. What he proposes are possible contingency plans to counter growing Indian influence in the region. These plans are made by every country against all possible rivals( India will have one even against Australia …trust me as they are possible rivals in the Indian Ocean). It is nothing to get upset about or take as personal insults believe me there are many posts out there in this forum where you can bash pakistanis and muslims to your heart’s content.I didnt want this thread to end up like all other India vs Pak threads that is why I suggested that Indians please refrain from posting here
Would really appreciate your cooperation
Not right now but i remember reading a journal(from the 70s) with an article by an Indian admiral where he counted Australia as one of the potential adversaries. At that time australia operated aircraft carriers and had capability of projecting power overseas
^^ Modern wars since Ottoman era have been won by strong global economies.
Why?
Well the strong and global economies work hand in had with military industrial complex. Pakistani army is weak right now and the reason is not due to the lack of men. Our military does not have the second pillar of "military-and-Industrial" complex, which is "industry".
Unfortunately, the suggestions in the original post do not address how Pakistan can grow its role in "global industry and economy".
2 questions
What do you mean by the ottoman era after WW1?
Sure pakistan needs a strong industrial base but in addition to that it needs to form a network of alliances it can count on in case of war with India which remains pakistans grts enemy
AI Faris brother do you know how much indians pay to come to canada,
i know personaly few who pays over 25 lakhs indian rupees, well generaly rates stand between 15 lakhs to 20 lakhs, for canada, depands how you got the deal,
and one brave indian was jump in front of metro instead of going back to great india,it was february 2004 .well the poor fellows refugee case was rejected by cic.
and i will tell you what story the tell to get accepeted as refugee claimant here in next post .in little rush right now.
Sure alliances are beneficial only with countries that are bigger industrial powers than Pakistan. Smaller countries will be more of a burden than any help. Think about this example of Afghan help. They sent few helicopter for quake help and Pakistan had to fix the rotor of one and put new parts in the rest. Americans on the other hand brought their own parts with Chinooks.
Well Ottomans were the last top power that could rule the world without being an industrial power house.
Not w/o a little help from their friends(french and english) the turks would have folded up by early 19th centuary had it not been for the them.
Obviously the ottomans were a good buffer against the Russians
