My male relative in Canada met this girl on a matrimonial site (same religion and same age). They dated for a few weeks and convinced their parents for a quick marriage. They were married within 3 months of meeting each other through a matrimonial site.

There were warning signs…why was a desi girl who was very pretty, educated and in good shape still unmarried at age of 30…

After being married for less than a month, my relative came home from a business trip to find the apartment totally empty, gone were all the girl’s clothes, all the wedding jewelry, all the expensive items and the bank accounts were empty.
While he dealing with the shock of this, in the morning the police came arrested him because the girl had gone to the police station and made a claim of domestic violence even though he has never touched her.

It looks like it was all the girl and her family’s plan to steal all the expensive wedding jewelry and other items and they put the police case on the boy so that it will be very hard for him to recover these items now.

So he is on bail now, trying to fight the charges and deal with his emotional and financial losses.

So all the single guy’s in Toronto/Brampton area, beware of girls that post their profiles on matrimonial sites.

I couldn’t continue reading after that sentence in bold. That is such a generalization. Just because your family had a bad experience, it doesn’t mean you can classify all girls in similar age group as warning signs.

I am sorry for the bad experience your relative had but please avoid comments that would give be considered generalizations and sets a negative image of a certain group of people.

Rest, your relative should have spend more time before jumping into the marriage or adding the girl on all his accounts. There is something fishy about this story…
