This incident is nearly 2.5 years old in the building where I have been living for the last 1 year. I am going to put it as the apartment keeper told me.
This newly married Jordanian couple lived on the same floor where I now live. They decided to go out late at night. The building was almost empty as most people were out on summer holidays. At the main gate, the couple met the apartment keeper who, at that time, was going out for dinner.
As they drove out of the parking, the car broke down. The man tried calling different numbers for help but didn’t get any response. In frustration, they decided to cancel their trip and go back home. As the elevator reached their floor, it got stuck. The man tried the emergency phone set placed in the elevator but no one responded. Then he reached out for his own cell phone but it wasn’t there as he had left it in the car. The wife tried to take out her phone, but realized that she had left it at home. In desperation, they started shouting & hitting the door. Nothing happened. As breathing became difficult & their clothes got soaked with sweat, they started pleading to Allah (Swt). By chance, their neighbor was at home. He woke up by the noise & rushed out. They explained to him the situation. Luckily, the rescue team’s office was near. The door was broken to find the couple breathing very hard.
The couple still lives in the same floor. They now have a beautiful & lovely daughter.
Moral Lesson: At times nothings goes in our favor, as we make series of mistakes. But still, may we consider Allah (swt) as the first option, not the last one, when we face any difficulty in life. In tough times, the Prophet (saw) first prayed to Allah (swt) and then tried to use all the means possible to solve the problem, because without HIS help nothing would go our way. Allah (swt) deserves the FIRST attention, and has the ability to turn everything our way.

Moral of the story could also be to keep your cell phone with you at all times!

Btw, most of the times even the cell phones don't work inside the elevator (in our part of the world), due to very low signal. Better to 'first' dial the number that is never engaged, but always responded. Also, the signal is always perfect for it. 'DUA'
As no one else is sharing. I would like to share some of the past incidents that I recall, some I might have shared before as well.
Years ago, in my childhood I came across a stunning news about a mother and a daughter in Pakistan who used to argue a lot in daily life matters. Usually with the intention of finishing the argument the mother used to say in frustration, " Either you die or kill me"
Once when the mother used this sentence at the peak of a harsh argument, the daughter quietly and slowly went upstairs to her room. When after some time the mother felt guilty and went upstairs to talk to her daughter to cool down the situation, she saw her daughter hanging with the fan with her tongue outside (It was really painful as the journalist of the newspaper had also posted her picture in the hanging position, which he should have not done)
I wondered at that time how the mother would live the rest of her life with the guilt of killing her daughter with the habit of wrong selection of words to finish the harsh arguments.
Moral Lesson: One shouldn't say in the heat of the moment what one doesn't mean, specially in front of sensitive and immature children.
