Yes, I am pretty bored to have a come up with the following topic/scenario:
You are stranded on an island. You’re the only human on this island and it appears that you are going to be stuck here for quite some time! (Think Tom Hanks from Cast Away). But…things aren’t so bad. You see, you have with you the company of only one song. Just one song…that you can play on whatever music playing device that runs on never-ending batteries. This song is the closest thing you can get to “human” companionship on this lonely isolated island out in the middle of nowhere. What would that one song be???
Reason: Even though I breathe on music and there is great music around us but it lacks, what I call, soul. Elliott Smith is perhaps one of the few singers I have came across that have the intensity which you can feel while listening to his songs. And though that can be said about The Hush Sound, Jet, Brendan Benson or a hundred others but still Elliott has that, soul, factor in his music. **
