straightning irons

Yes Yuko. I think it makes my hair fall out more than it did when they were un-yuko'd. Besides after about 4-5 months you have to blow dry them to get the roots straight anyway. My hairdresser doesn't let me get them straightened again until atleast 9-10 months. I am tempted to buy these ceramic plates next year. Let's see.

Never know Yuko to make your hair fall out, if anything it improves the condition of your hair.

Back to the ceramic straighteners.....I use mine on the roots too when my hair starts to grow out and while I'm waiting to get it yuko'd again. And I use it on my fringe too.

And besides, you can use them to put waves in your hair too, they aren't just for straightening.

do you know how exactly to do this? i've heard you can put waves with straightening irons but am kinda confused as to how it'd work...any ideas?

MehnazQ--how much did you end up paying? i actually thought I was getting ripped off.

Take small random sections of your hair, and wrap it around the ceramic plate - yes you will inevitably burn your fingers the first few tries - and clamp the plates shut. Hold in place for a few section and that's it really.

You won't get proper curls with it, but you can get a nice wavy tousled look.

Friends who did the straightning and then also highlighted/colored complain of dryness...so conditioning is a MUST.
