My mom told me this story, I dunno if it’s true or if she was just talking crazy:
What happened was when the US planes were coming to rescue the hostages, Khomeni told all the Iranians to get on top of the roofs of their houses. And when the 2 american planes came, the whole of Iran was covered in black. The pilots got confused and hit each other and crashed. Is this true or is it just a story created by our Muslim countries?

Unless my research skills sux & i didn't quite catch this intial detail on the spark of revolution, i doubt it, i think, if that is why it began.
