My wife got a speeding ticket (twice on the same spot now - geez!). So after a week she tells me about it, and I was like, “it happens”. I mean, my philosophy is simple. If you drive than you should be prepared that there will be accidents and there will be traffic tickets. There is just no way around it. Since her last ticket was more than 2 years ago, so we kinda figured she can take the traffic school (again), so there are no points on her records and we’ll just pay the fine. The actual paper work is sent usually 3-4 weeks after the citation, so we figured this whole thing will cost us about $200 plus the time spent for traffic school. End of story.
Not so.
Six months went by and still nothing came in the mail. Concerned that we may have lost the thing in mail, I called the number on the citation and reached traffic court. They searched on their database and found no record of the citation. I pressed them more, since I figured it is our responsibility to pay the fine. They asked me to call the police department to see may be they have a record. I called the police department. A very nice lady there tried to search for the citation, and found no record. She asked me to physically go to the traffic court again and see what can be done. We went there, handed our crumpled copy of the citation and they again searched for the darn thing in their system and came up empty handed. Then they told us, that some times, though rarely, the cops mess up on the paperwork and it gets rejected, in which case nothing gets into the system, and that we are basically done with this, so we should forget about the citation.
God bless the cop. May all of them be as lazy and incompetent as that kind-hearted soul. Ameen.

whats wrong with you calling and then actually going to the cops to find out wher your ticket is,
Nothing wrong with it, I guess. I did call the police department, and they can't find the citation. For obvious reasons, I am unlikely to chase after that particular cop and say "I really really want that ticket, please!".
I was teasing my wife, that may be he was just a fraud cop and she should have checked his uniform more closely.
Ashtray, I do have a chota sa larka as well. He is my son.
Sincerely,
Captain Lota
I have seen spirits in many shapes and sizes they can get upto any mischief, for them getting a police cruiser can be a piece of cake. I think you dont believe in spirits and ghosts.
Another cool way to bail out of traffic tickets besides sheer luck is...look at the citation number/code they put on there - the code that you violated. And then look at the description of what hte officer writes on the report. Go to the local library, get the book of traffic codes, and look it up. See if the code number matches the description the officer wrote down. A lot of times, the officers write down the wrong traffic code, since they don't remember them all by heart.
If you show it to the court, the court will automatically dismiss your case.
i have another way of avoiding paying for your trafifc ticket. instead of saying that you’re guilty of the crime, say that you would like to go to court to fight it. usually, the court date that is assigned to you is 4-5 months down the road. now, when this is drawing near, you call them up and say that you won’t be able to make it, can you please extend the date, and so it is extended.
once a year has passed since you’ve gotten your ticket, you go to court and show the judge that it’s been over a year…he’ll dismiss it …
ohhh..and another thing. never agree to pay the fine. always fight for it. go to court…more than 50% of the time, the cop won’t be there, and your ticket will just get dismissed.
