Story behind your nick/avatar.

Re: Story behind your nick/avatar.

I like Pakistani Airforce > F16 > Falcon (nick was in use) > Shikra

Re: Story behind your nick/avatar.

^^^Does 'Shikra' mean Falcon?

Re: Story behind your nick/avatar.

no shikra mean ******:fatee:

Yes (kind of). The actual Urdu word for Falcon is "Shaheen" but that sounds like a girl's name and that's why I didn't choose that. Shikra (urdu word) is called a "Hawk" in English. I guess some people use this word for Falcon as well.

Yup, that was the reason :chai:

Re: Story behind your nick/avatar.

no shikra doesnt mean hawk and it isnt used either :chai:

ur urdu sucks!!!

^ Phir aap hi bata dein Shikra ko Urdu mein kia kahtey hain, janab-e-mohtaram Allama Iqbal sahab.

  1. I didn’t read the entire thread
  2. Like I said, due to my reason, I didn’t even bother checking to see if Shaheen was available. I tried Falcon and it was taken. As soon as I thought of Shaheen, I shook my head and moved on to Shikra.

Re: Story behind your nick/avatar.

shikra means hawk

and shaheen doesnt sound girlish its different thing that its usually sum girls name but if u see it in grammer its actually a word used for males not females

like sum ppl name girls im tiaz or iqbal or naveed

but they r all words that r used for men

Shikra ko urdu mian Shikra kehtay hain :chai:

Yaar itna serious naa ho jaaya kar , I was joking about Shaheen part

What you said may be true, but every time I heard the name Shaheen, it turned out to be a girl’s name. Who cares, I found it girly, I went with Shikra. End of the story.

I meant English :hehe:

Headmaster sahab, serious kon hai, woh tou buss aaj zara smilies use karney ka mood nahi hai.

Thank you Chipkali. I feel like picking you up in my beak and eat you :yummy:

no wonder! the last time you were trying to explin what neela thotha (or whatever) was, I was trying to recall ke iss se pehle bhi kishi ne yeh mention kiya tha :smack:

I did not choose the other name becaues it is close to the bird known as Vulture. That's my reasoning. Simple.
