Stories/Poems Regarding Allah (swt), Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT]

Whats the saying regarding Poems and Fictional Stories in which Prophets [PBUT], Angels[PBUT], and/or Allah[SWT] are mentionaed.

For example: A poem about a fictional even in which Allah[SWT] says something.

on top of my head: there is a Verse that says something about Poets (and how they tell lies) and compares to the Truth (i.e. Quran).

So basically, what I am saying is that these “poems” are lies - which is a sin and therefore should not be permitted.

—> I have seen various Poems floating around with such content - and think that it is wrong, however would like to know other people opinion.

Re: Stories/Poems Regarding Allah (swt), Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT]

depends on the purpose....
and its wrong if the person really portrays it as if it were real and not made up....

like Allama Iqbal's shikwa and jawab-e-shikwa....
it involves speaking of angels and even Allah but he never means to say that this is a real conversation but everyone who reads it knows that it is made up to be an example....

but some ppl write such things and want their readers to believe it as real....
these r wrong....

Re: Stories/Poems Regarding Allah (swt), Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT]

if the person is not implying that its Allah[swt] or Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT], then why not use just humans - because thats the closest thing we can understand.

Re: Stories/Poems Regarding Allah (swt), Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT]

^ sometimes such examples r needed....

like iqbal's "shikwa" is something that muslims might be saying in their heart and complaining to Allah....
so "jawab-e-shikwa" is to make the muslim realize that this is a sort of reply he shud expect from Allah....

Re: Stories/Poems Regarding Allah (swt), Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT]

cant comment in iqbal poems, however is there some sort of loosely translated version of them :konfused: so i know why exactly it is OK to do so.

Re: Stories/Poems Regarding Allah (swt), Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT]

quoting something from Allah and saying that it is from Allah is definitely wrong as Quran tells us in verses 2:79, 3:78, but if someone writes it just for a "lesson" and does not state that this is really from Allah, then i dont see any harm in it....

Re: Stories/Poems Regarding Allah (swt), Prophets[PBUT] or Angels[PBUT]

^ ok, i can somewhat live with that - but what about kids (or even adults who dont have enough knowledge regarding Islam) may end up thinking that this event actually took place or this would happen, or Allah[SWT] would think this, etc...
