Hi guys,

I was looking for some semi formal clothing for my wedding and would like to know where in Karachi my aunt can go to for the thread & motif style clothing. Is that the correct name?

Not necessarily designer wear but just anywhere I can find these styles. Here are some pictures of the style I am referring too.

Personally, I've seen quite a few in the Zamzama area, including the Threads and Motifs store...

zamama has many outlets !

you can also visit park towers I have seen a couple of boutiques over there too !

they're all too overpriced on zamzama considering they're not designer wear, I saw a plain outfit at some random shop in zamzama, just alot of 'pattees' at the bottom in chiffon and some work on the neck for 18,000 ruppees!! they're insane, I would say to hit tariq road! if you can, print out the pics you like and ask them to copy it...
there's hina khan for copies but she's decided to price them at 90% of the designers price so not really worth it!
there's alot of threads here on who on tariq road is good for copies, worth having a look at those :)

Copies of Threads n Motifs are all over Aashiyana, at half the price on chiffon..... they are also available in cotton, in this blue building near Uzma's (in Clifton)...... I forgot the name of the shopping plaza.

U can go to rabi centre as well as the shops are full with embroidered stuff tht u are looking for...u just need to look around to get ur perfect outfit but its mostly machine embroidery as hand embroidery is more fine and expensive but u can get cheaper stuff here as compared to clifton...u can check needle impression and thread and motif stores too as their work is more fine.
