Recently I have noticed a disturbing trend on this forum. The people here have lost respect for each other. This forum was well known for its excellent discussions and educational environment.
I request all of you to stop the Mud Slinging. While you may not suffer we the less educated in relegion can no longer benefit from your knowledge. Kindly stop the offensive and bring us back to the days of understanding.
I ask each and everyone on this forum to rise above themselves and pledge a certain amount of respect for every member no matter what Ethnic, Relegious background they come from.

You may notice that this recent trend has cropped up in about the same time that I have been a moderator here. I am afraid that's the price we all have to pay for my style of minimum intrusion in threads.
I don't completely agree with you and Achtung either. I think it's much better to write openly and let your feelings known instead of hiding behind false respect and decency. Now, don't get me wrong. I believe that you two truly respect everyone here and I really appreciate that. And you are not the only ones with those opinions in this forum. But there are others who don't share the same sentiments. If they want to speak clearly, so be it. While I would advise people against getting irritated on a medium like internet, I would rather see irritated posters talking from their hearts instead of creating an 'educational atmosphere' dripping with artificiality.
I am aware that these are my personal opinions and should not be worth more than 'chaar aanay' to anyone, and this is exactly the reason why I keep myself invisible as a moderator.
