U must go and see a gastroenterologist i.e. a stomach and intestines specialist and get appropriate tests done...blood tests, X rays, CT scan, endoscopies...whatever the specialist thinks would help in diagnosing why exactly are u constipated. IBS which is irritable bowel syndrome, is related to stress, but then it is a diagnosis of exclusion only !! You need a check up by the experts, rather than waiting for the woooooorst to happen. Finally, not only constipation, but also fibre in the diet and all the stool softners that u will try, will ultimately cause a lot of bloatedness. If nothing works while u r awaiting the expert opinion, u can try glycerine suppositories, pretty effective. Conclusion: Go and see a specialist sooner than later.
Good luck !

Agree.
you could also try dried apricots and raisins. have you tried milk of magnesia? that worked for me when i had incontinence issues. if nothing is working, you should definitely see a specialist.

Re: STOMACH PROBLEMS
I got IBS after 1999 Ramadan. I tried many doctors and hakeem. None were able to give me relief even after doing sigmoidscopy (even Doctor suspected cancer). But now I am managing it with food control and I am now alright.

if you dont mind me asking...what were your symptoms for IBS?
and how were you diagnosed with it?
Re: STOMACH PROBLEMS
Well, if I eat milk or its products, I will have loose motion. And if I am sad that also causes loose motion. If I am sleeping and someone wakes me up with a shocking news, that causes loose motion. Very spicy food also lead to such symptoms. Melon and water melon are also not good for me.
A doctor told me about some time in 2003 and then I read a lot about it on internet.
whats that malanga stuff?...where can i get it
also isagphol - i was told to have it before going to bed?...
lastly does anyone know about OOLONG tea?... its supposed to make you go to the washroom - but i not sure...I'm afraid.
Tukh malanga is available in indian/paki grocery stores. As for Ispaghol, try that in morning empty stomach. Have your breakfast after sometime, like an hour or so.
Prune juice is easily available in all grocery stores. Try that as well.
Also, get in the habbit of drinking a glass or two of water in the morning empty stomach. It will help you big time.
Hope you feel better soon. :)
Figs are the best remedy, wash and soak 2-3 of them in the night and in the morning eat it with water.
Re: STOMACH PROBLEMS
