My whole life I’ve rarely suffered from stomach problems.
Recently ive started to get stomach aches quite often. I’ve moved in with my in laws recently and they eat food with no spices. I have a feeling it is to do with that because that’s the only change to my diet and I notice the stomach aches mostly after I eat spicy food (they all get stomach aches when they eat hot food) My question is does not eating spicy food regularly create a sensitivity to it? I know non desi people complain about how our food upsets their stomach. I love food with some spice and crave it so badly sometimes. Now even my own mothers food can make me unwell ![]()
Does not make sense. Maybe they are using some other non spicy ingredient. Are they using some kind of tenderizer in their meat dishes? That could be the cause if they do
Re: Stomach aches... Spicy food?
If you get used to non-spicy food , then eating spicy may cause discomfort.
Re: Stomach aches... Spicy food?
I learned that a pinch of turmeric powder must be added to any food while cooking in which you're adding spice whether powdered spice or green/red chillies. If your stomach is not used to eating spicy anymore then make sure to add little bit of turmeric powder in your spicy food while cooking. That could be the reason of discomfort after eating spicy food but cant say for sure.
Re: Stomach aches... Spicy food?
Happens to me all the time....as much as I love spicy food I can't really eat it. Gives me stomach cramps and itchy skin
