You can all post pics of your un-stitched outfits here to get good ideas about their stitching. Since it is the problem I personally face the most and would like to get the opinion of others about
Starting with me, I got this suit in pink & black chiffon some time back. Need some ideas about stitching.

I had this thing in mind to make it into an open shirt with a pink underlining, with some glittery black sequins wali lace on the front and sleeves of the upper shirt. How does that sound? What should be the material for underlining in that case?

Re: Stitching ideas
I think that a long open shirt with a collar and black piping would look good, it will balance out the pinkish/golden motif. Sheer black full sleeves and golden beige trousers. Extra lace won't look good imo.
Re: Stitching ideas
How about tapered wide sleeves with a black wide border at the ends. Chinese collars are in, with v-neck galas. And black piping on the gala and add black round buttons along the button line for a sleek stylish, asian look.
Also, if that black border is extra, you can also get a square or round gala made with this black patti appliquéd on it, go for a front open shirt with black piping all the way to the bottom. Black piping on the side slits too, go for a thin piping not a chunky one.
Post your finished outfit when it's back from the tailor.
Re: Stitching ideas
So here is my sister wearing the finished outfit. Had a chinese collar already so to make it a little different, went for a round gala with the sequins incorporated between the galas of both shirts.
