I have a few outfits that have heavy duputtas…I strongly prefer simple duputtas (chiffon with piping is my standard go-to)…so for me these gigantic duputtas seem like a waste…last month I went ahead and took a little risk and had a lawn duputta made into a kameez. luckily it came out pretty nice (IMO) so I definitely want to do the same with my other duputtas.
So this is the first duputta I have. The original is a Gul Ahmed lawn and it was stitched as a frock. I want to avoid that shape for the duputta so I was thinking of a kameez with just a slight flare, and churidar sleeves. I really really adore the duputta so don’t want to ruin it or turn out ugly.

this is antoher one. the issue with this is that I don’t have any duputta that would go with it if i were to make it into a kameez. I do have shawls though but i dunno how it’d look…its too bad cz I would LOVE it as a shirt…![]()

and finally, this is the duputta from a khaddar ka suit I got a few years back. The kameez has a little bit of embroidery/beading, but this is absolutely totally completely plain. so for this duputta, I need some ideas on how to stitch it to make it look nice…
(FYI, this was the lawn duputta I had made (it had silk pipings on all 4 sides) and this is how it looks. I don’t have a picture of it on a hanger, but I think it looked nice and none of the pipings were lost or cut off).
