Okay, so for all those who are utterly busy and don’t have time to cook dinner for 2 hours, here is a great HEALTHY quickie.
I wish I had pictures, because this stuff turned out so YUM.
Well, okay - you want
3 pieces of garlic
1 tsp of ginger crushed
1-2 tsp of white vinegar
1 lb of chicken breast chopped into thin slices
marinate the chicken breast in the garlic, ginger, and vinegar. Let it sit for a few hours.
Get one of those 10 oz-12 oz packages of stir fry veggies. Or you can take a mixture of WHATEVER veggies you like. I took some snow peas, broccolli, red onion, etc and began frying it in a frying pan. Use extra virgin olive oil for cooking. Its healthy. Then add some soy sauce (to your liking - I must have added 3-4 tsp)
I let the chicken fry with the veggies. I also added one long green mirch for added flavor and some salt and pepper.
I boiled some WHOLE WHEAT pasta. Its got the extra fiber that helps you metabolize the starch better. I then fried the spaghetti in olive oil and garlic. You can add some oregano and basil if you want to it.
Have the spaghetti with the veggies and chicken and add some more soy sauce if you want.
You then add the spaghetti on the veggies and chicken, and a
sara i too makes sometimes like ur recipe but anothereasy and healthy way is to steam vegitables,i usually steam vegi and then eat them with boil pasta or maggi noodels top with hot sauce ,its really yummy.and if u like u can add little olive oil also.
Didn't you cook the chicken a bit before you added veggies? I think if you want crispy veggies then let the chicken cook first and then add veggies later on and then cook for a bit longer :o
You can do it either way. I found that it takes longer to cook the veggies, so that if you cook the chicken and then add the veggies, the chicken ends up burning up and drying up.
Sara516, it was a repeating sentence. typo.
Shaz, no i did not use white wine vinegar. Just use plain white distilled vinegar. I think white wine vinegar is different.
LOL !! I am still laughing at what u wrote.. although this is a zanana forum but I could not resist from replying- I haven't met anyone who cooks dinner for 2 hours unless you are cooking for a baraat(marriage party for americans/brits on the forum)... and howz the thing you wrote about HEALTHY? :D
Bibijee, tenu chhole-chawal ton ki problem ai? whats wrong with chhole-chawal? it is both HEALTHY and quickie.
