Ugh..ok so I am waiting for job number one to tell me thier decision, had a 2nd interview for job number 2 (hear they are excited) and am playing the “waiting” game…ugh!!
amelie, good luck..:) what kinda' job did you apply for ? I would definitely recommend to stay optimistic, but at the same time, keep looking in your areas of expertise. You never know perhaps you may come across even a better opportunity..
sugar pie and honey bees!!! got a call back at 230, i called back at 330 said i would be available till 6 and it's 530 and i haven't heard back! ugh now the hope is that they would ask me to call back for
a. another interview
b. a job offer
but then again they could be prefering to call me back personally and say no too....ahh the agony

i'm in health management...and have 2 jobs that i'm looking at right now ...we'll see what happens

so....
they called. They said that in talking about my expeirence/skills they thought of another area of need AND were curious about my reaction and response to another job option....they are thinking of creating...it is a new position and is still under formation...
she explained the role and i told her my initial reaction is that i am most interested in the first job HOWEVER i want to take some time to think about this...
I also asked her what her time line was since to be frank i will be hearing back about other positions (well really one) this week and i don't think it is fair or nice to leave them hanging too long...b/c i really like her group and really want to work with them....
so i'm supposed to think about it and come back to them.
My initial response was
"they don't like me and like someonee else for job 1" but having talked to hubby and a friend i realize that they may have thought of a need and were thinking of giving me the option of this other position that would allow me to pick and them to have this other need filled...HOWEVER my husband thinks that there is still the potential that they will choose someone else for the first position... if my competition's skills fit better, no matter how much they like me and how well my interview goes..,..we'll see...if they do choose to not give me the option of the 2nd one but rather only offer the 2nd one.....i will take the other job that i'm hearing back from this week (my friend works with them and told me they are "very excited" about me) sooo inshallah it'll go fine...i just really want job number one...please do dua...
oh and i know that for the other position the one i'm waiting to hear back this week....they have other interviewees wiating to hear back but i'm their first choice....so i guess in every situation you take some other role...
So there is job number 1 and number 2...number 1 is the one i wrote about above that asked for my response on another possible job....
they have yet to tell me yes or no...
Job number 2 just made me an offer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so i called number 1 asking them to call me back...will have to tell them formally no on the 2nd option..and tell them i'm really excited about the first job that i interviewed with...and wanted u to know that i did get an offer...i need to let them know by the end of the week...so i wanted to know where you were in your process (being vague)
