i agree with you too, which is why I was considering this proposal but I thought I was insane and wanted to see what other people thought. I know friends whose spouses had “stable” jobs and got laid off a few months after and had to live off their parents for a while.

Well sister, may this proposal work out for you and may Allah grant you both material and spiritual wealth. What is important is to for the guy to have the DRIVE to achieve financial stability and the DESIRE to work hard. If the guy has that, give him a few years and advise him on the right investments and Inshallah you guys will both be set for life.
