Why are certain threads sticky? What does a sticky thread mean? And what are the criteria for stickifying a thread?
Can you please make this sticky ( after splaining what it means)?

The purpose of sticking a thread is to highlight it and we usually only do this for policy related threads/updates, for most visited threads so that people don't have to go looking for it, and also for new competitions, polls etc.
The criteria is not written in stone. If you want to sticky a thread, contact the mods of the forum and they'll decide whether or not to sticky the thread temporarily.
