Sticky for 'what my kid did today'?

Am certain parents will be all for it, but I don’t know if it is ok, since there are a lot of ppl on here asking about conceiving and have no kids. Don’t want them to feel left out or feel bad. What do you guys think?

Re: Sticky for ‘what my kid did today’?

I think it should be fine … kids usually do/say the funniest things. I think everyone, parent or not, would appreciate it

Re: Sticky for ‘what my kid did today’?

I am trying to conceive and I am fine with it.
There are some days when I am feeling down so I will not visit this thread… Simple.

I think it’s a reasonable request, heck I look forward to reading some gems in there.

I don’t know if this is the right place to share…

My 21 month old baby graduated from one’s room to two’s (in his preschool). He looked so grown up and he acted so grown up mashAllah. Instead of clinging on me, he stood by his teacher during the performance and later sat on the rug with other older kids. At party he enjoyed Mac n cheese, broccoli, carrots, and loved the trimasu (homemade by a teacher). Mama is all sadqay jawaon on him today. :luv:

Re: Sticky for ‘what my kid did today’?

Re: Sticky for ‘what my kid did today’?

I am tired!

So today we went for a late nap, hoping my little one will actually nap as he was tired. I gave up after almost 30-40 mins of trying to put him to nap. I just decided to lay down on one side of the bed and let him jump by the wall. I had my back towards him. After 15 mins of jumping he was quiet. I thought maybe he is tired and falling a sleep. After 5 mins I heard a sound as if someone is using a velcro strip. I turn around to find my little one almost out of his diaper.

Re: Sticky for ‘what my kid did today’?

My 4 year old daughter got her hands on a dollar bill two days ago.I thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to teach about ‘charity’ and donations for the needy, so I tried explaining to her the whole concept. At first she was like,‘but how will we buy things for ourselves then?’,but later it kinda made sense to her.I told her it can be in any form…$$,clothes, books, toys.
So she went to her room, dragged a whole bunch of her toys from her ‘baby days’ and books and told me let’s go do charity.I had to tell her that we are not gonna give everything right away.(Also I do not have the heart to part from her baby toys…not yet…:teary1:).
Next morning she woke up and then woke me up…‘Mama Mama, wake up its charity day’…:smack:.I had to tell her to take it easy.A few hours later she was playing with a few of her favorite toys and stuffed animals when she realized she has had them long enough for them to classify as being from her ‘baby era’.She came to me with tears in her eyes and told me ‘Please don’t give these away’.I had to explain we only give away toys and things we no longer need or use.So I will not give away anything she still uses.
Then today I was meeting with a friend who has a young kid who still wears diapers/pull ups.I had two boxes full of them and no longer needed them.So I asked her if she wanted them and she said yes. When it was time to leave,I carried the bags from my car to hers and my daughter who was walking next to me loudly called out ‘Waiiittttt…take your charity diapers’…:smack:.
