Hey guys… which gives you a natural and better look a stick foundation or a liquid one?
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?
I def. say liquid, only becuase I sometimes mix this in with my mouisturizer and it blends in real well and gives me a nice satiny glow-ishy look, I think sticks are okay too but I havent used it nor ever found the perfect shade according to my skintone...and i find that sticks tend to be very oil based, so usually concealers are better in stick forms, I would sayy def. go for the liquid, only becuase you can easily apply it bt mixing in your favourite cream and whatnot
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?
I dont like stick ones. they give such a fake look. I use liquid foundation and apply it right after I have applied my mousturizer. that way it really blends in and gives a natural look!!
If u have flawless skin then liquid foundations work better! I LOVE foundation sticks..if they're well-blended they give the best coverage!
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?
I like the liquid for myself. Only use stick concealer
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?
i like liquid better too. i used to wear the stick but once i tried liquid i felt much lighter, and i always thought liquid foundation would be too heavy but its not....
none- i like mineral power foundations
dey r so m uch safer and natural looking and light weight- oilless
i dont like stick foundation...it does give awesome results but its difficult to handle and blend in your skin...i like liquid founadtion alot...and it does give good coverage if applied properly and def. after a concealer.....but normally i use powder foundation ...its really great...wud give a try to mineral foundation as well..
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?
Depends on how old you are, what condition your skin is in and what look you are trying to acheive.
There is no right and wrong answer here that anyone can give to you without giving us the information above.
I myself prefer water based foundations, they glide on the skin easily, dont require that much blending (hence no chances of causing wrinkles) and let the skin breathe ( ie. dont clog pores )
There are foundations for ageing skin, oily skin, acne prone skin, young skin, foundations with light reflecting particles, shimmer, firming gel and so many other types! Identify u're skin type first...if u have scars u'd need heavier coverage if u have flawless skin all u need is a tinted moisturiser..
I don't have blemishes, I use a concealer for my eyes...dot my foundation stick all over my face and blend with a slightly damp sponge.
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?
gina do u think stick is beter for photogrPHY shoots or the liquid
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?

Sticks are better for photoshoots..turn-out better in pictures.
Re: Stick foundation or liquid?
Gina, do you think its necessary to wear stick or liquid?? i am confused..i have a trial coming up..and would like to buy some makeup....just to play around with...
so far this is what i have on my list..
primer
highlighter/concealer/brightener
tinted moisturizer
cream/liquid eyeshadows..in gold/champagne
liner?
pressed powder..
lip stain
lip stick (cream based)
here are the ones i am going to try...i have used makeup forever and laura mercier before...and loved it!
smashbox
dior
makeup forever
stilla
laura mercier
nars
lorac
bobby brown
Chanda, u have flawless skin Mashallah u cud get away with just a face-powder! Concealers are great by Makeup Forever.. and primers are good by MAC and Benefit..I love bobbi browns eye primer as well..provides a nice canvas for u're eye-colors.
I still prefer powder shadows over cream ones they last longer =) don't get tans, u're pretty fair.. go for toasted almonds..copper and bronze!

Hey guys..... which gives you a natural and better look a stick foundation or a liquid one?
Well it really depends on several factors:
Is this for every day use or other? (What looks good in natural light can look WAY different through a camera lense or under harsh photography lighting).
What type of skin do you have?
Do you have pretty clear skin or do you have some uneveness or blemishes that you need to conceal?
Based on what your answers are to the above questions, the answer to your original question could be different. Let me know more about what you are looking for!
