Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia's captain and vice-capta

SOmething of its own nature i think first time I think . Both captain and vice captain removed following ball tempering

Both accepted the mistake and saying desperation made them to cheat. wowwww

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

haha, its all legal till you get caught lol

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

They shud be investigated how many times they did it before. Btw only 1 match ban. Isn’t it very less

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

This is the best trolling ever. This young South african kid offering a sandpaper to Nathan Leon :rotfl:

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

Rabada makes incidental contact with Steve smith who walked towards Rabada after dismissal. They dropped the hammer on Rabada. He had to appeal.

Smith gets on(per Smith the leadership that decided to do this involved Warner, Lyon, Hazlewood and one more.

Bancroft is let off without punishment. He tried to HIDE the sandpaper after being caught.

Another “brain fade”?

If Smith was a black or brown skinned captain, we would be talking several matches ban.

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

Looks like asutralian public is angry on smith. And rightly so…

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

Zotani Oscar, the cameraman who caught this act of cheating red-handed, as well as quickly turned towards the dressing room where they were trying to send the messsage to players to hide the sandpaper.

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

ICC’s new plan to check Australian team before entering ground is revealed:

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

Smith, Warner banned for 12 months by Cricket Australia

Source: cricinfo

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

So the camera man who caught this was not white. Which begs the question - how many times did the Australians get let off because a white cameraman looked th other way

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

Not sure about color but I would defo question all the bowlers specially in the tenure of Lehmann/smith.

Could be one of the reasons why Mitchal Johnson became the nightmare bowler all of a sudden, that too within Australia

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

We should not be hesitant in bringing race into the picture when relevant. Rabada was given several demerits and had to appeal his case. Fact was Steve smith could easily have avoided contact. It was a slight brush.

James Anderson physically attacked Jadeja. Broad the referee did not find fault.

The list of white players getting away with murder while colored players get the book thrown at them is quite long. It is longer than Hanumans tail for crying out loud.

Which brings us to

Bolo Hamuman ki jai
Ho bolo Bajrang Bali ki jai

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

That shows how weak ICC is.

ICC bans for 1 match, that too without any proper investigation.

CA board, under the pressure of Aussies PM, calls them back and announces 1 year. Also, why in the world coach Dheryll Lehmann is still there? He was clearly a part of gang. And they must investigate for how long it was going on

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

Weak for big fished only but very strong for small fishes :chai:

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

Now thats the accurate analysis. Tim @Southie take notes

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

I am glad to see that Australian board took stringent action.

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

sarkar this is the most punishment which ICC can give for a ball tampering issue per current laws… ICC laws were drafted and signed by indian and pakistani boards as well

it is not like ICC handed aussies a weaker punishment and handed afridi who was chewing the ball like an apple more. ICC did what it could have done. so pls dont blame ICC. blame every board on this planet who helped ICC drafting these laws.

CA then acted on its own to punish the players severely

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

dear uncle, it is unfortunate but you have a long history of playing race card everytime a white guy is involved. this is indeed sad

at least Australian prime minister, Australian board, Australian media, Australian former cricketers and Australian public ..all of them unanimously condemned this incidence and asked to remove steve smith even though he is considered the biggest star after don bradman

now lets think if exact same incidence would have happened with Indian team or Pakistani team. imagine tendulkar, dhonie and kohli or wasim akram, inzi and razaqq being involved in exact same sort of ball tampering episode and would have caught. whole India or Pakistan would have been united on the name of nationalism to call such an incidence “a conspiracy against brown people by white people” . all kind of theories would have been drafted and all kind of analogies would have been made to mitigate the incidence by Indians and Pakistanis. when salman butt and the gang was caught red handed, i personally saw hundreds of articles in Pakistani media calling it a conspiracy against Pakistani players by Indian board and white boards so that Pakistan can lose 2011 world cup :smack:

so lets not make it a white vs brown discussion. not to mention, ICC gave these players the most punishment which ICC can give for a ball tampering issue per current laws. and CA gave a punishment to its star players which Indian or pak board cannot even imagine to implement on its star players for a ball tampering issue.

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

maybe but mitchel johnson was not known for reverse swing..he was the speed guy terrorizing players with his shear pace. once his pace went down, he faded away quickly

Re: Steven Smith and David Warner have been removed as Australia’s captain and vice-c

i have played enough cricket to say with confidence that every team does ball tampering but never admits to anything. ball tampering is never a one person action and it is a team sports. tendulakr did it as well with support from his Indian team. artherton did it, faf du plesis did twice in last 18 months. a great article below, pls do read it.

***" It is a written code among cricketers that a group or an entire team will conspire to ‘make’ the ball but the one who gets caught will own up to the crime and take a one match hit, as the ICC law stipulates. It is the price the man pays for the risk he takes. And asks for his pound of flesh later for his loyalty.******If someone were to question that the previous crimes with the ball were in fact singularly planned by an individual to the complete surprise of the captain and fast bowlers, he might as well return to Mars

There is the story told to me personally by a former fast bowler while playing county cricket not too many years back. He said that he was tasked by the team to tamper with the ball as the match went on but if caught there was to be no naming names. He was eventually called out by the umpire and fined; don’t remember if he was suspended for a game. Irony was there were three fielders on the field either scratching one side or using substance on the shinier side."***
