just came from the hospital… my husband’s friend is suffering from steven johnson syndrome due to doctor’s negligence 
… please pray for him i couldnt even look at him… he is in a bad condition.. Please everyone pray for him he needs dua

My husband lost a nephew to this horrible condition earlier this year.
Do share the details if you can get them......what medication was he taking that caused this?

thanks for all ur duas ..heeling process has started now... but his skin is peeling off really bad he has started recognising and speaking (slowly) ALHUMDULILLAH ..
@Muzna i dont know about tablets.. his wife was saying k he just had sore throat he went to the doctor ( a well known hospital ) dr gave him few tablets for thorat after 2 days he caught fever and his wife noticed that small pimples were popping out from his body ..they again went to they Dr.he said Oh! its chicken pox they told that he had chicken pox in his childhood Dr said i know better than you anyway ... dr gave some ointment and rest ... you guyz know what happens.you guyz wont be able to read further if i explain his condition .... i cannot imagine how can it be.. it's a well known hospital .. how are these drs playing with human life !! terrible !!! :(

OMG! I didn't know what it is and read it on wiki and im scared so much. Skin problems scare me bad, really bad! Allah miyan unko shifa dey aur sabko aisay khuafnaak bemarione sai bachaye.

Also in Gulf countries not a lot of ppl are aware of their own allergies. I am allergic to sulfa drugs and a lot of ppl have severe reactions to them. Every time I went to the doctor I had to make sure he heard me when I said I am allergic to medications with sulfa drugs.
And I also hate it when these reputable hospitals have doctors who just shrug you away, you should at least discuss with your patient. They are just in a rush and if you ask 3rd or 4th question they ask you : Are you a doctor ? IF not why are you asking so many questions.

I am glad to hear he is getting better Allhamdoullilah.
Although steven johnson is not the doctors fault, it is completely unpredictable and can happen with any drug, but he should have recognised it when your friend went back.

we had a relative pass away from this syndrome in April of 2010.
it was very frightening indeed.....
