Stephen King Takes On Time Travel and JFK's Assassination -- How Long Till We See the

Not too long ago, we posted a list of six Stephen King stories that we wanted to see on the big screen. It wasn’t impossible to come up with six titles, but one thing was clear - a lot of King’s work has been adapted in some form or other already. With the coffers looking a little empty, we wondered how King would keep Hollywood in projects for another decade or two - and the simple answer was to write more books.

It appears that horror’s living legend is set to do just that (retirement stories be damned) and he’s announced his latest, a 1,000-plus page tome entitled ‘11/22/63.’](Stephen King's 11/22/63 - In Stores November 8th 2011)

King’s latest, which will hit retailers on November 8th of this year, is about Jake Epping, a 35-year-old teacher who learns his friend Al’s storage room is a time portal that takes people back to 1958. Together, the two hatch a desperate plan - to save President John F. Kennedy from assassination. Jake travels back to an era he never experienced firsthand - a time of doo-wop and Elvis - and meets a beautiful young librarian who becomes the love of his life and a strange loner named Lee Harvey Oswald…
