Go for it girl! It's delish. Especially with haath ki bani hui rotiyan.

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

looks pretty healthy, low cal too :yummy:since it’s just veges and if the amount of oil is lessened. how much oil did you use?

I desperately need new recipes , I’m getting so sick of my own dishes…

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

that looks really good and spicy

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

sis Niksik is this a himachali recipe? I made it today, definitely very easy and it smells divine....will eat it for dinner, thanks for the recipe :)

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

No, it's a regular Punjab ki recipe as far as I know. Glad you guys liked it.

I used just enough oil to coat the bottom of the karahi.

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

opa squash?? thats lauki in english?
ok, according to khanapakana.com, its bottle gourd.http://www.khanapakana.com/recipesearch.aspx?s=Lauki

regardless, this looks really good!

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

this dish looks good!!

sgc, yeah it has more than 1 name...

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

how long do you “cover and cook on medium for” :snooty: for beginners you need to put down the time also :stuck_out_tongue:

P.S. i loved your tutorial :k:

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

you have to open the lid after 10 mins or so and stir around. Make sure the sabzi doesn't stick to the bottom. It's done when the lauki is tender, not mushy but al dente, and the oil has separated from the masalas.

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

Re: Step by Step Lauki ki Sabzi

But that's a good point chorni. For our contestants, these are the things the judges will be looking for...any gaps in instruction may take away from your total points!!!
