what do you guys think about stem cells research, it was deemed as haraam by both christians and muslims (its abnned in america coz prez bush doesn’t approve of it ) because it kills the embryo it’s taken from , the scientists have just come up with a new way of taking stem cells that won’t kills the embryo, it can open a whole lot of possibilities for the people who have lost body parts in different accidents, what’s your take on dis?

yes, but read the post guy, latest research is on stem cells not killing th3 embryos, sucessful experiments have been coducted on mice, and within a year will be complete in a year, think of all the amutations that have been carried out on the earth qauke victims in PK, A world of possibilities.

If Republicans put the passion they have against abortion towards poor children that are on earth today rather than the children who haven't been born yet we would be much better off.
As far as abortion being overturned, I don't see that happening, political fallout would be heavy.

Mywish, I am no vegeterian ...I eat anything including cats....but I am still concerned about injecting poor animals for some research that may or may not pan out. Its not just one year, its more like 5 to 10 years.

No matter how many neo con, crony evangelicasts Bush puts on the court, abortion will not be outlawed. The resulting political fallout would relegate the republican party to 3rd party status and the new 2nd party that would emerge would likely have less to do with convervative values than the democrats. Needles to say that new government would heavily fund stem cell research.

The # of red/blue states aren't as important as the population (except in the electoral college) and you will find people in states of all colors that will not stand for outlawing abortion.

Hillary is not my first choice for democratic choice, I think other dems would have better chance. As far as abortion, I am not doubting the neo con stacked court will try to overturn Roe v Wade, I'm just not so sure the American people won't overturn the court and send Republicans home in droves. It would galvanize the dem base just as evangelists have already energized rep base. But more.

Why even bring abortion into this discussion at all? Here are some facts....infertile couples who attempt IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) have to undergo some medical procedures which produce a number of fertilized eggs. A certain small number of these fertilized eggs are used to attempt pregnancy, the rest are frozen and stored. There is quite an abundance of these fertilized eggs sitting in the freezers of infertility labs.
Once a couple decides that they have no further desire for these fertilized eggs and would like them to be donated to scientific use, is ok or not to use them for stem cell research?
I say yes, my opinion only. They will provide the cures for anything from diabetes to thalessemia to paralysis. Would I personally give my life for cure of even one of these things? Yup.
