Steaming chicken legs before BBQ

Does anyone know a recipe that steams the chicken legs before putting it on grill ? I am tried of burning chicken from outside thinking its still not done from inside… and I remember seeing a recipe about steaming the chicken beforehand but cant remeber where I saw that…
anyone?

Thanks,

I tried it once , I marinated tikka then , I brought them to a boil on very low heat , in a deep pot , I did not add any water. Then I put some more tikka masala on those tikka and then grilled them.
But then I started grilling them on a very low heat just after marination and kept turning them on the grill , they turned out good and cooked from inside. All cooked and moist , no burns. The trick is to put them in flat skewers , and grill them , this way it is easy to keep them turning frequently to make sure that they do not get burned.

I always stick the marinated chicken legs in the microwave for 5 or 10 minutes before adding more masala and then grilling them.

Never burns and it's never dry.

thats a lot of work imho if you want to use both your kitchen and grill to make simple grilled chicken.

just use a less hot grill, and your chicken will be fine. if you have trouble figuring out when your chicken is done, get a meat thermometer and leave the chicken on the grill until the internal temp shows doneness.
