I have a very strange situation that, I have come across. I know of this desi family actually 2 to be precise who are known for changing tags at stores and stealing. I know our religion and even culture norms don’t allow such behaviors. But these people continue to do it and strangest thing is openly.
They have no fear of anyone. They steal anything from regular stuff to even testers (like make up stuff). And when you try to tell them how wrong and a sin they are committing, they justify it by saying oh we pay the damn government so much taxes, we deserve this.
They openly admit to all of this and have no shame whatsoever! How do you make these people realize that what they are doing is WRONG?
Have any of you seen cases like this? Do you report them to the community Mosque? Or the Police?
Report em to the police, that'll teach them. I think you may have completed your religious duty by telling them this is an act that Allah does not like. If you have to go further, go to the police, go to the masjid. If they still keep up, then they will get their punishment, if not in this life, then in the next life, and that will be a much worse punishment than whatever they can get here..
I wouldn't bother with them. Theres no point grassing them up cos this kind of crap goes on all the time. You've done your job by warning them about it. Leave it there, and sooner or later they'll get caught and eventually get what they deserve.
These things aren’t limited to desis only so don’t jump the gun yet..
Anyways, I see this as more of a psychological problem than a moral issue…These folks are obsessed and being obsessed is not very normal. People like this are kinda screwed in the head or abnormal. I think this family needs to see a psychatrist and if not then a good religious scholar who can knock some common sense into them.
