Morally.. yes.. because thats wut people expect you to do.. but then its a free world.. and in my opinion nobody should make you do anything you dont wanna do. its only that this mere act just trashes the real meaning of 'I Love You' unless s/he doesn't mean it the first time.

Forget the girl boy love, even amongst friends...you don't give up on people you love...
