It is.. and its due to feeling that what we have is all due to our own abilities and efforts. When people forget about God who blessed you with all this, segregation and distinctions follow in societies.

Yes this photography and now even some people runs animations showing bride and grooms pictures from childhood to marriage. Don't know whats the purpose of showing all this to everyone. Otherwise these people are very conscious about privacy.

i think NCA college lahore is also included in status symbol, also shisha smoking to some extent.

Here for ladies its around 75 riyals for trimming ...100-150 for haircut depending on wht kinda haircut you want and the length of your hair.

yes...it's NOT in the Indian culture [Hindu, Muslim, Sikh...] to shun a relative or a friend if he happens to be poor or living in a poor/bad neighbourhood. i haven't seen/heard anything like that from even my elders.
