following [not in chronological order] in desi culture:

English, neighbourhood, makaan, car, job, house contents, land/farms/orchards, children's jobs/education [medical student], clothes. connections with authorities, Husn, language skills, love of arts and culture [specially modern art] etc

wrong. with lesser hair you have to pay more to hair dresser. Deepak Parwani and Anupam Kher pays more to hair dressers than Fawwad Khan and Shahrukh Khan

In Lahore areas like Gulberg, DHA and Cantt are considered to be posh. Where as other areas like Shahdara, Badami Bagh, Raiwind etc are poor.

In Karachi, almost all posh areas are surrounded by kachi bastis and poor areas. Like Clifton and Defense are surrounded by Punjab Colony, Sultanabad, etc which are not considered as posh areas. Reason is they want to have Masis and other household servants from nearest areas.

Having servants is also somewhat status symbol, but Maasis are working everywhere from posh areas like Defense, Clifton to comparatively poor areas like Nazimabad, Sohrab Goth and Gulsitan e Johar

I know, Allama Iqbal Town is a locality where middle class families live. Near this town we have Awan Town and Paikhay waal pind, these are the areas from where we usually find women to work in the houses.
