According to unofficial stats, Islam already is the largest religion in the world. As for Christians, do your own survey. Go to your university and ask about 50 students 10 or so basic questions regarding their religion. You'll know how many are Christians.
These charts essentially show that Islam is the world's fastest growing religion because it dominates in many (Asian and SE Asian) third world countries w/high birth rates. Man, hindus are really in pitiful shape. It's really quite sad, something should be done to control the birth rates in these countries.

Where did you conduct your survey?
Stats & surveys like these don't have a 'criteria' on who is a "real Christian" and who is not. They will take Robertson's conviction in Christ as him being a Christian & will take Osama to be a Muslim, regardless of what the rest of the world thinks.
Anyway, I found the last stat. to be very informative to say the least.

This is quite a weird chart. Middle East is NOT a continent. How come it got inserted amongst other continents?
But it makes sense. Four of the heaviest density muslim population countries are in Asia, namely Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. Most middle eastern countries just don't come near these four in sheer numbers.
