Starting up a Western Union outlet

My husband is considering opening up a Western Union outlet is Central London. From what we have heard, it is quite profitable. But it apparently consumes so much time that he will have to eventually leave his career job and invest all his time into this.

What would be advisable at this point? Should he go ahead with it or should he continue with his job?

If you anyone who has done something like this, please share how it turned out…

Re: Starting up a Western Union outlet

hmmm... I hope some UK guppies will be able to give you useful info on the subject. Did you also try googling out for people's experience?

Re: Starting up a Western Union outlet

Yeah I did...but that was not much help...

I guess my question just is that would you leave your career for starting up a business?

Generally speaking I would think that It depends on the nature of the business, type of your professional job, the potential outcome from the business, and on your long term future plans.

EDIT:

By the way, I would leave this thread here for a day or two before moving it to the appropriate Business forum ... First we will see if we can get first hand experience stories from the general public... then, to the more professional advices :)
