khawateen:
well my son started with the usual baby cereal and pureed fruit when he was 4 months (yes we start them off at that time here in denmark)… he didnt care much, as long as he was getting his milk on the side too… then when he turned 6 months i thought lets get the cereal a bit on the thicker side with less water added.. and puree the fruit still but let it be on the lumpy side… he refused it… i thought ok no problem.. give him more time..
he is now 7 months and 3 weeks.. and the child still wont accept lumps.. its a disaster site and meal times are enough to scar me and him.. we both hate it! he doesnt chew. he hates lumpy porridge. he hates lumpy fruit. he will suck on roti or bread or rice grains but then spit them out!!! i dont know anyone who’s baby does that And its getting really irritating now and a bit worrying. he will eat anything in a fine paste form. irkh
i know all babies are diff but shouldnt he be able to accept slight lumps by now?? i keep telling myself he will get better by 8th month but he is meant to be able to chew really well by then and well, right now, he doesnt even know he has gums!!! and the devil has 2 bottom teeth!!
any other parents go thru this with their babies?? its kinda freaky seeing loads of oter babies much younge than him eating solids really well whilst hazrat is lying their drinking his solids!!!
i have tried to force him but he just lets it dribble all out with his saliva!! grrr
oh can it also be related to reflux.. cuz he did suffer from it… just got over it now…
tahnks in advance guys
LOL my sister’s kid is three years old and still cant take big lumps and throws up. I guess there’s nothing that you can do with these kinda kids until they grow up and get a good beating for throwing up. only then they’ll learn thier lesson!
