Starbucks to accept Square mobile payment

Very nice!

There’s a Starbucks right next to my gym and I almost always stop there after I’m done. Now only if I could have my drivers license on my phone, I wouldn’t have to carry my purse/wallet to my gym trips.

Off topic but I hate carrying a purse too. Today I carried my license and credit card in one of my jeans pockets and phone in the other. Felt so good to be hands free. So I would love for everything to be on my phone even though I was skeptical earlier. :hinna:

^^ Yes! That's how I am too. Can't handle extra baggage. Waiting for the NFC terminals to launch in the stores I visit so I don't have to carry nuffin but my lovely phone. Hope the DMV comes up with a Drivers License app thingie soon.

Cant you take a picture of it and show it to them? or scan it and send it to your phone....

No because there's a code thingie on the Driver's License that cops use to scan all your info. Until they formally develop an app for phones to carry that info, I don't think we can be without a physical driver license when driving.

I doubt you can have just a picture of your license but maybe in the future they will have electronic ones. :D

If its a bar code there is an app called key ring which keeps all the bar codes in the phone and also allows for you to enter manually. True about the driving part though. You legally have to carry one. I was talking about showing it at the gym.

Oh no, I don't have to show my license at the gym. I have their little membership card on my keychain which I scan as I enter.

You should be able to have all the cards in your keychain added to the key rig app which will bring up a card with the barcode for them to scan. I love that app!!

never happening in a billion years. @#%&@^#%@& took almost 2 yrs to give me my license from the day of passing drive test. worse than indian electricity office. most inefficient setup ever.
