right, so iv just about managed to watch episode 4 “A New Hope”/The New Hope"? whatever…i can’t remember what its called. Im not understanding… What the feck is the Force? and where is Yoda? and why does Darth Vader speak like that? Why did Episode 4 come out before 1,2 and 3?
first of all what the heck is "feck" and secondly, why in the name of yoda on your boxer shorts do u want to know?
Who the hell cares. Star wars is for good for nothing, candy chugging, computer strapped, fresh air deprived, lactose intolerant, socially outcasted shiit heads. Why would you want to be associated with losers?. Its very important to conform to a group that is popular. Try to do cool things pick up J-14 or a smiliar magazine catered for your age group. DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES to be popular. Cause if you are not a popular individual accepted by all with subjective opinions you would be shunned. Loser
Oh my, God has spoken, Il be sure to renew my lisence fee so i can watch television programmes that people of your "popular" society conform to, although the teletubbies were very 90's, may i please watch Bob the Builder instead? or am i not destined to make friends that way?
I apologise for your lack of understanding of my non-english words, maybe you should email my reply to the Queen, she may be able to explain in a straightforward manner. Or better still, the American president, surly you'l be able to understand written English spoken by him.
now, unless you'v got anything to say regarding Star Wars...good day :)
well well, i thought you of all people/boys here was man enough to leave your comments in their original format. You shouldn't say such things if you dont stand by them.
now stop replying as your luring me into a sense of false security, i keep thinking a star wars geek has replied!
Ok When George Lucas Orginally wrote the star wars saga there were 9 epsidoes in all. He decided to start off initally with 4-5-6 to grab the attention of viewers by jumping right into the heart of the story. The first 3 episodes deal with the early life and childhood of anakin or dearth vader. and the last three would deal with the child which luke sky walker bears. Mark Hammil and Harisson Ford are two old to play the role now so its gonna be intresting to see how Lucas pulls off the episode 7. The musch awaited episode 3 is coming in the start of next year and would show the transforamtion of ananakin to vader. That might be intersting :)
Miss_M, the original Star Wars movies were quite good. What made them so famous was mainly cause at that time, there really was nothing out in the market that was so sophisticated and interesting. This was very advanced compared to other sci fi flicks of the time .... especially the light sabers ... and how could you not be afraid of the storm troopers??? :p
I found the fourth instalment a bit boring. The fifth part was fantastic and the sixth was a bit over the top ... but the Ewoks are mega cute.
As for the new prequel flicks, I just don't like them at all. I'm not looking forward to episode three, but I'll watch it anyway.
ok but who or what is the Force? and why doesnt luke know that princess whatsherface is his sister? where and what is yoda? and..tooo many questions...:(
I was watching the damn movie with my uncle and him being the sci-fi geek that he his kept telling me stuff from the other movies, and im so not understanding anything.
i need to understand otherwise iv just wasted at least 2 hours of my life watching trash!!!
^no..yaar i dont have the paitence...explain them to me man!
i thought there would be atleast 1 sci-fi geek on gupsup. How can the force be with me if i don't know what it is??????
May the Force be with you. Utter this famous line and there’s no mistaking it. You’re referring to the driving force (pardon the pun) behind the Star Wars world of exploding planets and intergalactic wars. But what exactly is it? In the words of the character Obi-wan Kenobi, a Jedi knight:
“The Force is what gives the Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.”
Read the rest of it … mind you, this is just ‘one’ person’s take on it. Others have their own views.
All I know is that Harrison Ford is super hot in those movies … .. enough to keep me watching them for years!
Edit: By the way, we don’t know why Darth Vader speaks like that and wears that funky black outfit. We’ll find out this summer in the new movie.
To understand the whole "Star Wars" world... u should watch it in the sequence of their release... Episode 4 "A New Hope", Episode 5 "Empire Strikes Back", Episode 6 "Return of the Jedi"... skip Episode 1, and lastly Episode 2 "Attack of the Clones". Lucas is a good story-tellar and you will understand his world when you see it his way.

Theres this force, which certain powerful Jedis have the ability to control. They can move stuff, look into the future etc, using the force. Ofcourse, there is that metacholorians BS they came up with in ep1, about jedis have that in their blood, allowing them to control the force. That was all unnecessary rubbish.

and where is Yoda?

They showed Yoda plenty of times in episode 1.

and why does Darth Vader speak like that?

He wasnt in episode 1, but he speaks like that because of the actor who plays his voice. Theres a long story behind that too, he wasnt originally supposed to sound like that, and had a sissy voice, but they dubbed him later. In the movie storylines, he speaks like that because he has a machine synthesized voice.

Why did Episode 4 come out before 1,2 and 3?
explain please...

Eps 4,5,6 were the original episodes, Lucas just made these episodes, and at that time he didnt know he was going to do prequels.

Miss_M, Faisal is totally right. You have to watch them in the sequence they were released.
