Re: Standing in for PCG...Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
So there is a full blown thread going on GS about Jinn and Magic with a very healthy viewership, my question is will you marry a Jinn catcher or magic fighter.
Dude those two are muslim versions of extreme sports.
Re: Standing in for PCG...Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
pcg + jinn catcher = movie material
Re: Standing in for PCG...Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
Now, OP, if the question were would you marry a garbage man "sanitation engineer"...or a "bar tender"....then I reckon you wouldn't be too amused.
Then we'd hear anecdotes about the humility of the sanitation engineer who makes our world a cleaner, more breathable place.....and the bar tender with heart of gold who gives charity, recycles regularly, and rescued a kitty from a tree.
Re: Standing in for PCG...Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
but those are real jobs, RV. not scams like ghost busters.
a termite walks into a bar.
termite: is the bar tender here?
Re: Standing in for PCG...Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
No fake, cringeworthy honey stories. No Pakistani men or Islam bashing? Knight ma'am you've lost the plot.

Ok, but I'd still prefer a jinn catcher over a bartender.

Great, I'll be bookmarking that one.
Re: Standing in for PCG...Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
There was a member who posted in the Religion forum that he is a jinn catcher. He performs ruqyah, which is healing for spiritual maladies through Quran, Allah's names, and according to hadith/shariah. What is so funny about that? Are we amused by the job itself or the existence of magic and jinns which is mentioned by a much higher authority, Allah Himself...?
Shortly after this member posted in the Religion forum, OP decides to use "jinn catcher" in the title of his thread which has been created for entertainment purposes and carries an undertone of mocking/derision. Imagine that member coming upon this title and thread (if he hasn't already)....and that too...soon after his own posts. It's rude and offensive. One has the right to reject a person due to their profession if it makes them uncomfortable. But it's not right to mock...and there's something very wrong...about mocking someone who uses Allah's kalaam in his profession.
Re: Standing in for PCG...Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
How is this standing in for PCG? I prolly wouldn't have come up with this
Re: Standing in for PCG…Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
Scripture is the most respected thing there is but many of the scum of the earth and low lives use it to deceive and defraud people, I remember about a Roohani Baba arrested for raping several young girls, They prey on the feeble minded, I don’t remember reading about exorcisms performed by the Prophet(SWA). It is considered a BID’AH by many Muslims,

Re: Standing in for PCG…Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
Give your anecdotes and examples a rest, Knight.
First of all, as PCG has told you herself, you’re not standing in for her.
Your thread reads like one of those games people play where they ask questions like, “Who would you marry, Freddy Krueger or Jason?” …“Where would you prefer to die, the Sahara or Antarctica?” A game where the person poses an option that he/she either finds to be extreme, detestable, or contemptible. It is very clear that you look down on the profession or are amused by it.
You got the idea of “jinn catcher” from the member, Ruqyah Lahore, who used the words in his posts only a few days ago. The guy is not one of the “frauds” you are speaking about. He does not ask people to provide him with their mother’s names or photographs or shady objects like a goat’s head, or a skull, etc etc. He uses the verses of the Quran and I am familiar with the treatment that he posted about…it is based on the widely known Ben Halima method of ruqyah treatment for which training is provided in the North America and other parts of the world.
Many ruqyah healers do not advertise nor charge money. And many of them have other jobs as well. Rather than jump to the conclusion that every jinn catcher or ruqyah healer must be a woman-raping fraud, why don’t you take out the time to educate yourself on the flip side of the coin. Seriously. Instead of only familiarizing yourself with statistics/anecdotes of corrupt examples amongst Muslims in Pakistan and the world over…why not also research examples of people who do it the right way.
And I cannot believe that you are actually attempting to justify the creation of this thread and your contempt and amusement for another member by slapping an article link in your post. So much for your lectures about being nice to other people and how that niceness/humility should precede ritual ibadat. There is absolutely NOTHING nice about your thread and its tone. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already put the member Ruqyah Lahore in your grand list of “Hypocrites” …when you do not even know him, but you rush to assume the worst about him and all other ruqyah healers. In getting carried away with mocking another person, we may not be aware that we might be taking a panga with Allah Himself.
