Re: Standing in for PCG…Would you marry a Jinn Catcher
Give your anecdotes and examples a rest, Knight.

First of all, as PCG has told you herself, you’re not standing in for her.

Your thread reads like one of those games people play where they ask questions like, “Who would you marry, Freddy Krueger or Jason?” …“Where would you prefer to die, the Sahara or Antarctica?” A game where the person poses an option that he/she either finds to be extreme, detestable, or contemptible. It is very clear that you look down on the profession or are amused by it.

You got the idea of “jinn catcher” from the member, Ruqyah Lahore, who used the words in his posts only a few days ago. The guy is not one of the “frauds” you are speaking about. He does not ask people to provide him with their mother’s names or photographs or shady objects like a goat’s head, or a skull, etc etc. He uses the verses of the Quran and I am familiar with the treatment that he posted about…it is based on the widely known Ben Halima method of ruqyah treatment for which training is provided in the North America and other parts of the world.

Many ruqyah healers do not advertise nor charge money. And many of them have other jobs as well. Rather than jump to the conclusion that every jinn catcher or ruqyah healer must be a woman-raping fraud, why don’t you take out the time to educate yourself on the flip side of the coin. Seriously. Instead of only familiarizing yourself with statistics/anecdotes of corrupt examples amongst Muslims in Pakistan and the world over…why not also research examples of people who do it the right way.
And I cannot believe that you are actually attempting to justify the creation of this thread and your contempt and amusement for another member by slapping an article link in your post. So much for your lectures about being nice to other people and how that niceness/humility should precede ritual ibadat. There is absolutely NOTHING nice about your thread and its tone. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already put the member Ruqyah Lahore in your grand list of “Hypocrites” …when you do not even know him, but you rush to assume the worst about him and all other ruqyah healers. In getting carried away with mocking another person, we may not be aware that we might be taking a panga with Allah Himself.
