Dia Mirza is the latest actress to join the ‘haunted- by- stalker’ club after Asin and Katrina Kaif.
According to industry insiders, a 30-something man went down on his knees with a bouquet and a ring and proposed marriage to the ravishing actress.
Well, actresses are no strangers to such besotted fans. But what freaked Dia out was the fact that this happened right outside her doorstep. The incident took place on December 10.
The actress’s domestic help and driver immediately accompanied her to the Khar police station where she lodged a complaint.
Dia has confirmed filing a police complaint.
She said she had been aware of the ‘fan’ for many years but never bothered as he never came in her way. He had once visited her house under the garb of a florist. But Dia’s driver called his bluff and let him off with a stern warning.
If the buzz is to be believed, the man has been stalking Dia for the past six years. After landing at her doorstep, he told her that he was a doctor by profession.
The man had even got an engagement ring for her and asked her to marry him.
The police are on the lookout for Dia’s doctor- stalker.
