We use stainless steel, and use non stick for cooking quick easy things like omlettes.
As Automne said non-stick pots and pans contain chemicals that you won't have in stainless steel.
Might look in to getting a stainless steel frying pan as we used to have one before this new tefal one we now have... does anyone have any recommendations?
At certain point the non stick start to scratch and start to lose that Teflon layer. Then you have to buy a new one. I did some research and found out if you want non stick or want your pots and pans to look perfect for years to come go for stainless.
